Google announces 32 GB Nexus 7 tablet with 3G model


Google has announced the 32GB on-board storage bearing Asus Nexus 7 tab & also one with 3G network support.

Google has finally announced higher storage bearing Asus Nexus 7 tablet model and 3G network supporting model. The new Nexus 7 tablet model will offer 32 GB onboard storage and will be available in WiFi only and WiFi+3G flavours.

Google has closely worked with Asus to introduce an affordable Android OS based tablet - Nexus 7 with a compelling hardware. Asus packed a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor with 1 GB RAM. This hardware is good enough to run the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the tablet. Also, the update integrates Project Butter that aims to provide 60 frames per second experience with native user interface and apps.

Asus made Nexus 7 tablet features 7-inch IPS panel display supporting 1280 x 800 pixel resolution natively. Nexus 7 was offered as WiFi only model. And now, Google has announced HSPA+">HSPA+ supporting Nexus 7 3G model as rumored.

Google and Asus offered Nexus 7 in 8 GB and 16 GB storage options. Now the company has axed the 8 GB model and instead added new 32 GB on-board storage offering model.

The ASUS Google Nexus 7 line up now comprises of 16 GB Nexus 7 WiFi for $199 (Rs 10,600 approximately), 32 GB Nexus 7 WiFi for $250 (Rs. 13,250 approximately) and 32 GB Nexus 7 WiFi+3G model for $299 (Rs 15,900 approximately). These models are available from the Google Play store and several other participating online as well as offline retailers.

ASUS and Google are yet to formally announce the Nexus 7 tablet for India and we expect the announcement to take place in coming weeks along with the new LG Google Nexus 4 smartphone announcement.
