LG G2 officially announced for India

It has a 5.2 inch display, quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and 13 megapixel rear camera.

Korean smartphone manufacturer, LG has officially that its G2 smartphone will soon be launched in India. However, LG has not revealed its price.

"Be captivated by an immersive experience within the palm of your hand. Coming soon, an innovation that redefines convenience!,” LG India said on its Facebook fan page today with a picture showing LG G2.

LG G2 was announced last month at a press conference in New York, USA. It comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution. This display is said to consume 26 percent less power than other devices when it comes to still frames and thereby increases the screen usage time by 10 per cent. This massive display is powered by the quad-core 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM that runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Here's an interesting bit - the display gets a dedicated Graphic RAM for better visual performance.

Besides, the LG G2 has a 13 megapixel camera at the back with optical image stabilization to click better photos in low light conditions. There is an LED flash and auto focus to aid better images. By default, the camera can record full 1080p HD videos. In the front there is a 2.1 megapixel camera which too can support HD video calling.

LG G2 is also said to come with a number of features through its Optimus user interface. One of such feature is the Answer Me that automatically decreases the ringtone when the phone is drawn closer to the ear. The new Slide Aside feature allows multi-tasking by using three fingers on the display. Audiophiles will enjoy the 24-bit sound at 192kHz frequency for best possible output.

LG has packed a 3000 mAh battery which is bigger but slimmer. LG has not announced the price and will offer the G2 in Black and White colour options.
