VoIP service Skype, has been updated to version 2.9 for Windows Phone 8 users. The update has a variety of features and tweaks including an improved home screen layout. It comes with a new People List Filter feature that app will enable Skype users to view either all of their contacts, just Skype contacts, or only available contacts, depending on what they choose. In a post on its official blog Skype reveals that certain improvements have been made to the app, based on the feedback that they received from users.
The update also brings an improved home screen layout. Skype believes that the improved home screen will allow users to navigate through the functions of the application. In addition to that the Favorite Contact tiles have been reduced in size, so as to fit three across the screen. The updated Skype app for Windows Phone 8 devices is up for grabs on the Windows Phone store.
