Fluid: Convert Web Applications Into Desktop Applications [Mac]

Do you have certain web apps that you use all the time and hate having to have a separate tab open for each of them. Well what if I told you there was a way to turn your favorite web apps in to desktop ones on your Mac? With Fluid, this is not only possible, but incredibly easy. For the dedicated web app user who wants to have them on their desktop, Fluid is just what the doctor ordered.

To get started with Fluid, all you need to do is download their free program. You simply enter the URL of a web app and give it a name. For example, you might enter “Pandora.com” for the URL and name your newly created app “Pandora.” After you name it, you need to choose where you want to put it. You can choose any folder on your Mac to provide yourself with easy access. After that, click “Create” and you will have you own app.

Fluid offers other customization options for your app. You can change the icon instead of using the default favicon. Making apps is incredibly easy with Fluid, and it’s definitely worth taking a look at.

Features:

  • Turn web apps into desktop apps with a couple of clicks.
  • Choose a name for your app.
  • Customize the icon for your desktop app.
  • Save your app anywhere on your Mac.
