HTC working on a mobile operating system for China

HTC is reportedly working on a mobile operating system with better integration of social network services for China region.

HTC has reportedly shifted its focus from Windows Phone mobile operating system to Google Android. Meanwhile, the company is also working on something exclusive to one region. The Wall Street Journal reported that HTC is developing a mobile operating system for the China market. This mobile operating system will integrate social network services such as Weibo.

Reports suggest that HTC is already developing a mobile operating system that will encompass all the web services and social networks offered in China. Lenovo has done something similar for its mobile offerings. Apple too is reportedly working on an affordable iPhone 5C model (C stands for China) to pull more consumers on-board.

HTC's new mobile operating system might turn out to be a China specific version of Sense user interface. The new HTC Sense 5.5 brings a slew of new features and is expected to be available to compatible devices via an update.
