AT&T Moto X goes on sale beginning Aug 23, Motorola Skip becomes official

AT&T has announced that it will begin selling the Moto X smartphone from August 23. The smartphone will be available both in AT&T stores as well as via AT&T website.

According to an AT&T press release, the telecom operator will be offering the customised versions of Moto X both at its website via Moto Maker and physical stores. The custom version of Moto X will be assembled at US-based Motorola factory and shipped to consumer for free in four days or less.

The telecom operator notes that Woven white and woven black models can also be purchased from AT&T stores.

Here is look at the customisation options available to the consumers:

Colour options for the front and back
Accent colours for the power key, volume key and camera ring
Adding your name or short message on the back of the phone
Unique wallpapers
Custom power-on message
Memory capacity – 16GB or 32GB

On the pricing front, AT&T will offer the 16 GB Moto X for $199.99 and the 32 GB Moto X for $249.99 with a two-year agreement.  Plus, for a limited time, Motorola Skip accessory (details about the accessory later) will be included for free in all Moto Maker orders.

To remind you, Moto X features Android 4.2.2, 4.7-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, 10 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
