Huawei Ascend D2 coming with 5-inch display, multi-core processor


Huawei plans to launch the Ascend D2 mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013.

Huawei is planning to unveil a new 5-inch display bearing Ascend D2 smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013. The Unwired View managed to get a press shot of this upcoming smartphone and the press shot hints the Emotion User Interface treatment to the device.

At the Consumer Electronics Show, Huawei has big plans to unveil the Ascend D2 smartphone to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The Ascend D2 smartphone will feature 5-inch touchscreen display with full 1080p HD resolution. Huawei has been working on its own mobile processor for the mobile phones and will pack a multi-core 1.5 GHz mobile processor inside the Ascend 2.

From the leaked image, the Ascend D2 seems to have on-screen optical controls just like the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4. This smartphone-tablet hybrid device carries a design somewhat similar to that of Galaxy Note II.

The Ascend D2 will have a 13 megapixel camera at the back to click high quality images and also to capture full 1080p HD quality videos. It will also feature a front facing camera and will feature a 3000 mAh battery. The Ascend D2 has been announced formally for the China region and will be announced for International market next month at the CES 2013. Most likely the D2 will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running by default.

The devices such as Ascend D2 will be priced much lower than the actual price of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Devices such as Ascend D2 aim to the consumers filled with an aspiration to possess a smartphone with large real estate in terms of display.
