Google's Motorola to bring Xphone, XTablet

The Android phone and tablet could challenge the Apple iPhone and iPad and Samsung Galaxy Series.

Google, which recently acquired Motorola, is working on a new phone called XPhone, the Wall Street Journal has reported. According to the report, Google has also entrusted Motorola to bring a tablet called XTablet.

According to the report, Google is aiming to grab more market share from Apple and Samsung with these new products.

The phone and the tablets are expected to be launched next year, most probably with the next version of the Android. However, the phone and the tablet might not be launched in India as Motorola has wound up its India operations.

Motorola is also reportedly facing some challenges in terms of manufacturing and supply chain and could delay the project.
