Nokia releases camera capabilities of upcoming smartphone ahead of MWC.

It appears that Nokia is bracing itself to rock the world with their wares at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, this month. The Finnish brand is expected to introduce a range of smartphones and the biggest exhibit is expected to come in the form of the Nokia Lumia 910, which has bumped up features, as compared to the Lumia 900 that was announced at CES 2012. There is no official word on what to expect at MWC, but Nokia is certainly keeping us twiddling our thumbs in anticipation with the teaser video, which they released on their YouTube channel showing incredible camera capabilities of their upcoming smartphones.

As per a report by Slash Gear, this handset is expected to feature the new PureView camera onboard. The sensor resolution of the shooter that will appear on this high-end smartphone is expected to be 12 megapixel or higher. From the video, we can see that this is one impressive looking camera as the renders found here show different captions detailing what to expect from the handset. The captions in the video read, “Pure detail. Pure depth. Pure Definition” and it ends with the tagline stating. “Get ready to capture a pure view.” The video shows slides of different scenes of snow and images that correlate to the captions. The summary indicates that Nokia would be showing off their range of devices on the 27th of February, itself.

A related report by GSMArena revealed that this handset is expected to be a successor to the Nokia N8 that is powered by the Symbian OS. Though Nokia is using Windows Phone OS as the operation software of choice nowadays, it appears that they have no plans to shelve the Symbian OS. Apart from the camera, the teaser video doesn’t display anything else the handset has on offer. But, with the Mobile World Congress a few short days away, we will get to know more about this handset and hopefully a range of other handsets the brand has to offer. What do you think about the smartphone’s camera capabilities? Let us know in the comments section below.
