How to Make a Resume in 10 Minutes with

While many of the unemployed and underemployed are finding jobs by utilizing their social, professional, and personal networks, a resume is still critical for the majority of people applying for a new position. The traditional resume — created with Microsoft Word or similar — is typically necessary for HR execs to quickly review your work experience, but a resume can be dense and unattractive. Over the years, many HR professionals have actually complained that traditional resumes are difficult to read because of the sheer amount of information crammed into bullet points and indented paragraphs — and as a result, aren’t read thoroughly if at all during the hiring process.

For those applying for jobs who want to stand out from the crowd while providing a more visually appealing display of work history, skills, and talents, is a great way to generate an infographic based resume. Currently in public beta, users just need to request an invitation to start using the service. Then, once you have an invite code, simply import your information from LinkedIn and choose a theme, color settings, and edit any information you feel should be modified, added, or removed for your new resume. Then, create a custom URL, which you can use on business cards and signature lines to direct other professionals to your resume, and share your resume on the social networks of your choice. Unless you feel like completely customizing the themes available on and data imported from LinkedIn, the entire process should take you less than 10 minutes.

For those looking for a more attractive resume that is more comprehensive than a splash page on, but not a cluttered social network like LinkedIn, could be a great choice — especially since the setup is so easy. Sign up for beta access at, and be sure to let us know what you think about this new service in the comments.
