Final iOS 5 to reach manufacturers by end of the month

Apple has already released the seventh beta version of the upcoming OS to developers. According to a report by BGR, the iOS 5 beta 8 is rumoured to be released this Friday. The report goes on to indicate that this will be the final beta release of iOS 5. The website says that speculations about Apple's plans of sending the final version of the OS to iPhone and iPod Touch assemblers in China by the 23rd of September 2011, are mounting.

According to a report by MacRumors, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that by sending the Golden Master iOS 5 (final version) to manufacturers between the 23rd and 30th of September, of this year, this version of the OS will be available on the iPhone 5. The upcoming smartphone from Apple is rumoured to be launched by mid-October. Ming-Chi Kuo adds that as far as the design of the iPhone 5 goes, there will not be a complete overhaul as expected. He states that his sources indicate that the upcoming iPhone will feature an iPhone 4 design, but with the hardware specifications being bumped up. He claims that there has not been any indication of a different design, but claims that with the upcoming model there would be a 512 MB RAM, 3.5-inch display, and front and back glass design.

It is rumoured that iOS 5 will launch at the same time as the iPhone 5. Indications are pointing that the date for the iPhone 5 in all likelihood will be launched by the 15th of October, this year.
