Aviary Launches Standalone Photo-Editing App For Android & iOS [Updates]

Watch out Instagram! Aviary(http://advanced.aviary.com/), which offers multiple editing tools to be used by anyone on any website, has just released its own native photo-editing app for iOS and Android. Aviary editing tools are widely used on third-party mobile and web apps such as Flickr and the soon to be defunct PicPlz, and also provide photo-editing options on Facebook.

While Aviary is still focused on providing editing tools to developers, it has now released a standalone photo-editing app which you can download for free on both iOS and Android (Windows Phone 7 coming soon). The app provides regular users, who are not developers, a glimpse into the beautiful Aviary interface, but it’s also a showcase for developers and a good place to test new Aviary features.

The app itself doesn’t provide anything we’ve never seen before, but it’s a slick mobile photo editor that’s very easy to use, and includes lots of photo enhancements, filters, stickers and crop options. There is one free filter package which you can use, and several more packages you can download for $0.99. The stickers options is also an in-app download, but a free one. There are many more fun options such as draw, text and meme, and you can even fix red-eye, whiten teeth and hide skin blemishes.
When you’re done, you can share your image through all the usual platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or e-mail.
