Sony launches Xperia M Android smartphone

The Xperia M features a brilliant 4 inch display and even a dual SIM variant.

Sony has announced the launch of its latest Android smartphone, the Xperia M.

The Xperia M comes with a 5 megapixel auto focus rear camera which has a number of features that are often associated with high-end devices including HDR mode and fast capture modes for the camera and a dedicated shutter key for easy image capture.

The Xperia M comes with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S400 MSM8227 dual-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB RAM. There is 4 GB of internal memory of which 1.3 GB of storage will be available for users. Along with that the device can be upgraded to 32 GB of memory with the use of memory cards. The 4 inch display of Xperia has a resolution of 854×480 pixels at 244 ppi pixel density. It has NFC connectivity too.

The Sony Xperia M will be made available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. The dual SIM version is to be called as Xperia M Dual and will come with Android 4.2 while the single SIM variant is to have Android Jelly Bean 4.1. However, pricing details of each model is not available yet.
