MetroApp Link: Create Desktop Shortcuts for Windows 8 Metro Apps

Windows 8 comes with a bunch of Metro applications.  When you need to run a Metro app, you will need to press the Windows logo key and then type the app’s name. Easy access in the form of a desktop shortcut is not provided for these applications. Here to fill this gap and provide you with convenience is a tool called MetroApp Link.

MetroApp Link is a desktop application for computers running Windows 8. The app comes in a zip archive which is sized at nearly 1.5 MB. This tool lets you create desktop shortcuts to the Metro apps within Windows 8. All you have to do is run MetroApp Link, click on the icon of the app you want a shortcut for, and then begin using the newly created desktop shortcut.
