Google Nexus 4 suffers from earpiece buzzing issue


Several early adopters of the Google Nexus 4 found out odd buzzing noise from the earpiece.

LG made Google Nexus 4 smartphone has some problems in its earphone that emanates an odd buzzing sound, some users of the device have reported.

Infact, Over 135 owners of the Nexus 4 have reported about the buzzing noise from the brand new Nexus 4 at the Official Android Project Bug Tracker . Meanwhile, everyone awaits Google or LG to at least acknowledge the issue and give a word on fix if any.

According to some reports, the noise was apparent irrespective of the screen being on or off. Number of Nexus 4 owners also pointed out the distortion in the voice calls.

So far, the availability of the Nexus 4 smartphone has been very limited and mostly sold through the Google Play Store. It is difficult to access and narrow down to the pain-point on the device that causes this issue. Many believe that a simple software patch will fix the issue but it would be possible only after the issue has been acknowledged.

In past couple of years, the pressure of bringing out top of the line class yet affordable devices has certainly lead to brand new phones plagued with some underlying issues. The brand new iPhone 5 suffered from scuffing issue while the iPhone 4 two years ago had the over-hyped antenna issue.

Early adopters who are eager to get their hands on the latest gadget often go through this experience of excitement, surprise and then bit of rage with underlying issues. Usually companies immediately offer an exchange if it is a hardware issue and for software issue, an update is released.

Neither Google nor LG has acknowledged any such issue in the Nexus 4 till now.

The Google Nexus 4 has a 4.7-inch HD IPS panel display with HD resolution and built using strong, slim Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology. Under the chassis, Nexus 4 packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro mobile processor with 2 GB RAM and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. It packs an 8 megapixel camera that can record full HD videos. Google has been selling 8 GB for $299 (Rs. 16,650 approximately) and 16 GB for $349 (Rs 19,425 approximately).
