Karbonn has started selling another Android smartphone in the country. Dubbed as Smart A2, it is an entry-level device, which comes with an outdated operating system – Gingerbread. Karbonn is yet to announce it officially, but we expect to hear from the company in the next few days.
Flipkart is currently offering the Karbonn Smart A2 for INR 4,990 and promises it to ship in 6-7 days. Such a long estimated shipping time means the online retailer does not have stocks right now, but hopes to get them in the next couple of days.
Karbonn’s Smart A2 will be a part of company’s Smart series of Android devices. It comes with 3MP rear camera, dual-SIM support, front camera, 1GHz processor, 4-inch capacitive display (resolution is unclear right now), 256MB RAM, 202MB internal storage, and 1,750 mAh battery.
These specifications are in line with other smartphones in this price-bracket, but the presence of Android 2.3.6is certainly a downside, even though none of the smartphone in under INR 5K bracket have ICS on them. We surely wish smartphone manufacturer to release ICS devices in the price-segment.
