Also, Intex has launched a non-3G Android smartphone called Aqua Trendy, with 3.5 inch display.

Intex Technologies has launched two new Android smartphones, named Aqua Trendy and Aqua Flash, priced at Rs 4,900 and Rs 9,500 respectively. Intex Aqua Flash is a dual-SIM (2G+3G) smartphone with a 4.3 inch display with WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution and runs on a 1 GHz dual core processor. The phone is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device also has a rear-facing 8 megapixel camera and a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera. The phone comes with gravity, light and proximity sensors and offers 3G, Edge, A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options. It is powered by a 2100 mAh battery, which claims to allow a long talktime of 3.5 hours and 72 hours of standby. The phone also supports Hindi.

The Aqua Trendy, on the other hand, is a budget phone with an aging Android 2.3 operating system and a 3.5 inch display. It is powered by a 1 GHz dual core processor, and has a 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The dual SIM phone is powered by a 1400 mAh battery and has gravity, light and proximity sensors. The phone doesn't have 3G connectivity but gets WiFi, GPRS, WAP and Edge.

While the Aqua Trendy competes with Karbonn A1+ and Micromax Ninja 3, the Flash is up against the likes of Karbonn A18 and Lava Iris 501.
