Nokia Drive+ beta app now available for Windows Phone 8


The turn by turn navigation offering application is available for Windows Phone 8 based devices of Nokia, HTC and Samsung.

Nokia has released the beta version of its navigation app - Drive+ - for all Windows Phone 8 based devices. The new Nokia Drive+ brings number of features to the HTC and Samsung devices running Windows Phone 8 as well. However, the app is available for few regions and is not available in India. You can keep checking the Windows Phone store for its availability.

Nokia Drive+ app for the Windows Phone 8 devices provides turn by turn based voice-guided navigation with spoken street names. The app now offers offline download support for the maps of about 89 countries of the world. The viewing mode has been automatically set between Day or Night mode for the optimum visibility.

The Drive+ app is in beta stage but still offers features such as 2D and 3D landmarks on the maps to aid during navigation. The Route Settings allow users to choose skipping obstacles such as toll roads, highways and other blockages. Single tap shows the user's current position and the app offers details about the distance between the current location and the destination.

The Drive+ shows advanced dashboard with details about the speed, distance covered, estimated time of arrival and the time left to reach the destination. Users can pin their favourite places to the home screen as a tile after personalizing it on the map.

Nokia Drive+ beta app is available for download from the Windows Phone Store.
