Zopo, a new entrant into the Indian market, has announced a new 5.7 inch phablet. The tablet, which is priced at Rs 15,999 and is up for pre-order, can be booked a from Zopo Mobile's website (http://zopomobile.co.in).

The smartphone, named as Zopo Leader Max ZP950, comes with a 5.7 inch HD (1280x720) IPS display, which is one of the best resolution for any budget phablet available right now. The phone is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system which runs on a Mediatek chipset based 1 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB of RAM. There is 4 GB of inbuilt memory in the phablet.

The Dual SIM phone has also 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options and runs on a 2500 mAH battery. The Zopo Leader Max has an 8 megapixel camera at the back with PV CMOS sensor and single LED flash. The front 2 megapixel also comes with high definition video recording capability.

Being a large device, the body of the phablet has been strengthened with magnesium alloy skeleton. While it has a much bigger screen than other 5 inch phones, Zopo Leader Max has a size of 158x83x10.1 mm. On the other hand, Micromax Canvas II A110 has a dimension of 147 x 76.5 x 9.7 which has a 5 inch display. The ZP950 weighs 210 gram which is however on the higher side considering that it is a phone and not a tablet.

There is no mention as to when the phone starts shipping. In the meantime Zopo is also looking at Quad Core phablet launch at the end of this month.
