MediaFire launches Android app with 50 GB free space

The app allows users to connect to their MediaFire hosted files and services.

With cloud storage services like Dropbox and Box.net getting popular with Android users, popular web storage provider MediaFire has also joined the bandwagon with the launch of its latest Android app. The MediaFire Android app not only allows users to connect to their MediaFire hosted files and services through their mobile device but also offers them a free 50 GB of cloud storage absolutely free of cost.

The company however has not mentioned as till when the free cloud storage service will be available for the users but we estimate that the free space will be available at least for a year before they start asking for payments.

The MediaFire Android application allows users to save files and folders on the cloud storage and view the saved files, docs, spreadsheets, presentations right form within the application. Along with that users can also watch videos and listen to audio files saved on the MediaFire cloud right from within the app.

The application supports multiple folder creation and video upload directly from within the application making its as useful little tool. Users can share files on the go via email, SMS, through other Android apps, and with copy and paste links as well making sharing fun and easy to use.

The application is compatible with devices running Android version 2.2 and above and does not require very high hardware as well to perform well.
