Your webcam can record and transmit video feeds even when you are not at your house. You can use this action of an IP camera to make a simple video surveillance system for your home or office. Here to help you do this using an IP camera and your iPhone is a service called Cam on Duty.

Cam on Duty is a web service that lets you convert a supported IP camera into a surveillance tool. You can use the service’s desktop app in conjunction with its iOS application to monitor the camera’s feed through your iOS device. The iOS app is free and is sized at nearly 17 MB while being compatible with iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad running iOS 4.0 or later.

The service offers a free package that offers 30 hours of streaming per month; premium packages that begin from $4.99 per month offer 100 hours of streaming per month and more.
