Hide Find Bar: Hide The Finder Bar After A Period Of Inactivity [Firefox]

Hide Find Bar is the perfect Firefox add-on for anyone who uses the browser’s built-in find on page function. All you need to do to open the find bar is press “CTRL-F” or “F3.” However, once you have it open, it does not go away until you manually close it, and it shows on all tabs. This is a waste of time when you want to get back to work. Thankfully, there is an easy to use Firefox tweak that allows you to have this bar close automatically after a short period of time.

Once you install the tweak, you simply need to set a close duration. It defaults to ten seconds, but you can set it shorter or longer. It’s incredibly easy to set up and it makes your life a lot easier, especially if you are someone who doesn’t need the find button up all the time. With a couple of clicks you can open the bar, and move on with your work without remembering to close it and get it out of the way.

Features:

  • Automatically hide the Firefox find tool after a period of inactivity
  • Default time of ten seconds
  • Options to change the time
