Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 getting Android 4.1.2 update Now available via Kies and OTA in Portugal

Samsung seems to have started rolling out Jelly Bean update for its Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8060) smartphone. The update is currently available over-the-air and via Samsung’s Kies application in Portugal, but should be roll-out to other countries soon.

As all updates and released in phases, don’t expect it to reach your Galaxy Ace instantly, it might take some days.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 Jelly Bean update details:

Android Version: 4.1.2 – Build JZO54K
PDA: I8160XXMC8
CSC: I8160TMNMC3
MODEM: I8160XXMC8
Build Date: 26 March 2013
There is no word on the change-log of this update, but we can expect to see Google Now, Project Butter improvements, UI changes, enhanced notifications, better widgets and more on the phone.

In related news, according to a tweet by Samsung fan-site SamMobile, Samsung might release the Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy S II and Note II smartphones in May or June. The same update is expected to bring the new features that we saw in the recently announced Galaxy S 4 smartphone.
