Six new Videocon Android phones spotted on company website


Videocon seems to be finally ready to increase the size of its Android portfolio in the country. Six new Android smartphones have been spotted on the company website including a Micromax A116 competitor in the form of Videocon A47. Other five phones are dubbed as Videocon A51, A53, A45, A27i, and A15.

There is no word on the actual launch or pricing of the new Videocon Android phones, but given the fact that they have already appeared on the company website, we can expect to see an official launch in the coming days.

Talking about the individual smartphones, Videocon A47 runs on Android 4.1 and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor of unknown make. The phone also features 4.7-inch qHD display and 12MP rear camera.

From the features of the above four phones, we can see that Videocon has carefully chosen to compete with the most popular entry-level smartphones available in the Indian market.  Only time will tell if this strategy works for the company, which hasn’t seen much success with its smartphones.
