Adobe Systems have announced that they are debuting six new programs for Android Honeycomb tablets, which will also include the popular Adobe Photoshop, as reported by CNET. Photoshop for Android, dubbed the Photoshop Touch will be launched along with Collage, Debut, Ideas, Kuler and Proto, making it a total of six applications.
Apart from Photoshop, Adobe Collage will let people share images via ‘moodboards’ on the Adobe Cloud. Adobe Debut will allow people to view files created with Adobe’s main Creative Suite design programs. The Kuler is basically a colour picking and sharing tool. The Adobe Proto lets people create innovative and interactive designs of websites on mobile devices. The Ideas app allows users to draw vector graphics with their fingers along with layer creation.
All the programs will launch this November at an introductory price of $10. They will be part of the new Adobe Creative Cloud that is basically a service for file sharing, service finding and transferring work to and from computers and tablets. What’s interesting to see is how Adobe manages to get the whole editing, cutting experience to tablets. Photoshop currently requires a laptop running fairly decent specs and the tablet version needs to be snappy and quick, if Adobe wants a good amount of adoption rate for the tablet version.
