Belkin introduces its portable charging device - Power Pack.

It is not uncommon to run out of battery on your mobile phone or tablet and then feel helpless. While it happens to the best of us, there may now be a solution. Belkin India, a popular brand for interconnectivity solutions across computing and consumer electronic devices has officially announced the launch of their portable charging device, called The Belkin Power Pack. Belkin claims that the Power Pack makes for ideal portable charging equipment for charging MP3 players, smartphones, Bluetooth devices, portable gaming systems and other USB rechargeable electronics.

Interestingly, Belkin claims that users will be able to charge their smartphones, MP3 players, etc on the go, even in the absence of charging ports. The Belkin Power Pack comes with a 6-inch micro USB to USB cable, using which, Belkin claims that users will be able to using their devices, even while they are being charged. Additionally, it comes with a StorageSafe feature, which Belkin claims retains the charging for months together, by enabling the device to lose only 5 percent of its charging per month, which does seem to be a useful and relevant feature. The Power Pack also sports an LED indicator to give out the status of the charging of the device.

Beginning from yesterday, the Belkin Power Pack is up for sale in the Indian market. The Belkin Power Pack comes in three variants - Power Pack 1000, Power Pack 2000 and Power Pack 4000. The Power Pack 1000 uses a 1000 mAh battery, which Belkin claims to be ideal for charging mobile phones, while the Power Pack 2000 uses a 2000 mAh battery, which Belkin claims to be enough for charging the smartphone fully. Lastly, the Power Pack 4000 uses a 4000 mAh battery, which, according to the official post can either charge a smartphone fully or rapid charge a tablet.
