Panasonic launches next-gen Toughbook CF-53 in India.

Toshiba unveiled today, their latest Toughbook offering, the CF-53, designed for business verticals like workers at warehouses, engineers at construction sites, technicians at car dealers, etc. The new notebook continues the tradition of being virtually indestructible as it is water proof and shock proof. The CF-53 will be sold for a market price of less than Rs.1 lakh.

The Toughbooks are available in two categories, Fully-rugged and Semi-rugged for field use. These notebooks are designed to give mobile workers reliable and secure access to their data and applications in challenging environments. Toughbooks are engineered to withstand drops, spills, dust and grime and to perform in the harshest of environments. The notebook is available with a range of Intel Sandy Bridge processors. It boasts of a battery life of 10 hours. It’s also relatively light weight at 2.65kgs. The keyboard is spill resistant so you don’t have to worry about being clumsy on the job. The new touchpad also has multi-touch functions giving you greater control. The 14-inch screen offers decent amount of screen real estate on the field and the high brightness level helps with outdoor environments. The Panasonic Toughbook comes with a 3-year limited warranty and should be available across all major outlet stores across the country.
