Micromax Superfone A85 gets priced at Rs. 18,990.

Micromax’s new dual-core Android smartphone, the Superfone A85, has been priced at Rs.18,990 on Flipkart. The phone runs on a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor with Android 2.2 (Froyo). Obviously, Froyo is a bit outdated, if you compare it with the models that other manufacturers are releasing. But with these specs, there are chances that the phone will get a Gingerbread update, soon enough. The A85 comes with 8GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM. It also has a 1500mAh Lithium-ion battery which is quite average, considering the Samsung Galaxy S, being is a single core phone has a 1500mAh battery as well, but since we’ve not tested the device, we’ll reserve our comment for later.

Here are the specifications of the Micromax A85:

1.> 3.8-inch TFT Capacitive Touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution
2.> 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot
3.> GPS with A-GPS support and Google Maps
4.> Bluetooth, microUSB v2.0
5.> 5 Megapixel autofocus camera, VGA front camera
6.> Stereo FM radio with RDS
7.> Memory expandable upto 32GB via microSD card
8.> 3.5 mm handsfree socket

So, the Micromax Superfone A85 seems to be packing quite a punch in terms of specs. Taking into account the price, as well, do you think this one got the power to challenge the front-runners?
