Dell launches new Latitude ST Tablet

Dell expanded its Latitude series with the launch of their new Latitude ST Tablet. The ST is built for business and IT professionals and can be tailored to specific business or end user needs with certified applications and professional services. For healthcare, the Latitude ST integrates into Dell’s Electronic Medical Records and Mobile Clinical Computing solutions and for education, the device is certified for use in Dell’s Connected Classroom solution. The Latitude ST comes with Dell’s flexible data protection that provides encryption along with anti-virus protection.


The tablet comes in a 10.1-inch size and a weighs 816 grams, with 2GB of RAM, up to 32GB SSD (upgradable to 64/128GB SSD) storage, Microsoft Windows 7 operating system with Intel’s Atom Z670 1.5GHz processor. It’s got upto 6 hours of battery life on the four-cell battery and comes with a capacitive multi-touch display and pen for writing.

Connectivity options include 3G and mobile broadband options, 720p front/5.0MP back camera and Skype video conferencing facilities. Other options include TV connectivity, easy photo sharing, network printing option, along with optional docking station. The pricing for the Latitude ST starts at Rs.36,000, excluding taxes. An upgrade to a 3GB Base will cost Rs.3,000 + local taxes extra and as applicable, whilst the Docking station costs an additional Rs.8,000.
