Motorola's Fire XT hasn't been officially announced yet, but can now be bought in India thanks to online shops. This phone is basically an entry-level Android running on Gingerbread, and is considered a direct challenge to the likes of the Optimus One, Wildfire S, and Galaxy Ace.
The Fire XT is powered by an 800 MHz CPU, coupled with 512 MB RAM. It has a 3.5" display with pixel dimensions of 320x480, a 5 MP rear and a front-facing VGA camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack, and microSD cards up to 32 GB. The gadget measures 4.5" (l) x 2.5" (w) x 0.5" (d), and weighs approximately 114 grammes.
The phone is targeted at budget buyers who want to try out droids without investing much money. The device is currently only available through Infibeam (Rs 12,000) and Flipkart (Rs 13,000).

LG Optimus Hub Surfaces In Italy
LG has announced the Optimus Hub, the successor of the Optimus One, in Italy. This entry-level Android features the latest Gingerbread update.
The phone runs on an 800 MHz CPU, accompanied by the Adreno GPU. It sports a 3.5" touchscreen covered by Gorilla Glass. Other features include a 5 MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm jack, 512 MB RAM, and microSD support up to 32 GB. The onboard 1500 mAh battery reportedly provides a talk time of 4 hours. The device measures 4.4" (l) x 2.4" (w) x 0.5" (d) and weighs approximately 123 gram.
LG's Optimus Hub will be available in Italy from next month, and is expected to retail at $199 (Rs 12,800 approx). Looking at the popularity of Androids in India, it shouldn't be too long before it lands here.

LG Optimus Pro now on pre-order in India for INR10K
Flipkart has started taking preorders for LG Optimus Pro, the entry level portrait QWERTY, which will compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Pro and Motorola Fire.
LG Optimus Pro has been priced at INR 9,990 and is expected to be officially released in the market later this week or next week. Optimus Pro is powered by Android 2.3.3, LG UI and 800MHz processor.
It also features 2.8 inch TFT display, 3.15MP camera, 256MB RAM, and 1500 mAh battery. It was announced in July along with Optimus Net.

LG Optimus One getting Gingerbread update in India.
LG has finally started rolling out Android 2.3 update for Optimus One in India. The roll-out seems to have started in other Asian countries as well. You can check now via the LG Software update tool to download the update.
