Meizu M2 Note launched in India, available through Amazon for Rs. 9,999

After announcing the Meizu M2 Note in China about a month ago, the company has launched the entry-level phablet in India today. The Meizu M2 Note is priced at Rs. 9,999, and will be available exclusively through Amazon India starting August 10.

The Meizu M2 Note is a successor to the M1 Note, and features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display panel, Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Flyme OS, a 64-bit octa-core processor from MediaTek, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,100 mAh battery.

Meizu M2 Note Specifications;

  • 5.5-inch IPS LCD display, 1920 x 1080 pixels, 403 ppi, IGZO capacitive touchscreen
  • Flyme 4.5 (based on Android 5.0 Lollipop)
  • MediaTek MT6753 processor, 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, and Mali-T720MP3 GPU
  • 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot (upto 128GB)
  • 13MP rear-facing camera, 1/3.06-icnh sensor, autofocus, LED flash, HDR, Panorama, and 1080p video recording
  • 5MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording
  • Dual-SIM, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS with GLONASS
  • MicroUSB v2.0 port, USB Host, and 3.5mm headphone jack
  • 3,100 mAh non-removable battery, 150.9 x 75.2 x 8.7 mm, 149 grams

At a price of Rs. 9,999, the M2 Note is a perfectly good device, but it’s funny that even the Meizu M1 Note has the same price tag. The Flyme UI is a bit different than the other Android skins that you see in devices from Xiaomi and the likes. The Meizu M2 Note competes with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, YU Yureka, and the Lenovo K3 Note.
