Intex Aqua i6 phone official, 5-inch display & quad-core CPU for INR 8,990

Intex has introduced a new Aqua-series Android phone in the form of Aqua i6 today. The smartphone features a 5-inch FWVGA display and has been priced at INR 8,990.

According to MediaTek, Intex Aqua i6 is the first smartphone to be released in South Asia with 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor.

“With the launch of Aqua i6, South Asia’s first handset based on the MT6582, we extend our association with Intex Mobile to help bring the world’s best technology to the Indian market,” said Dr. Finbarr Moynihan, General Manager – International Sales & Marketing, MediaTek Inc.

Aqua i6 also comes with 512MB of RAM, Android 4.2.2, 4GB of storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera. In addition, the phone packs 1900mAh battery and dual-SIM support.

Aqua i6 is yet another quality offering from Intex for those who look forward to a powerful device which makes juggling between multiple tasks a breeze,” Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head – Mobile, Intex Technologies Ltd said in a statement.

Intex Aqua i6 will be competing with the likes of Karbonn Titanium S2 and Spice Coolpad Mi-515 smartphones in the Indian market.
