Apple to launch new iPad on Oct 22?

Apple has sent out invites with a vague slogan which has been interpreted by many as an indication of the arrival of a new iPad and a new iPad Mini model.

Apple, which has recently launched its iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s, may launch a new iPad model on this October 22 itself.

This has been presumed as the California based handset major has sent out invites for a special event on the October 22 in San Francisco, USA. The Apple Event invite carries text - We still have a lot to cover; which has been now interpreted by analysts about the arrival of a new iPad model along with the Retina display bearing iPad Mini. Apple may also announce MacBook Pros, Mac Pro and new OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

Apple has long been rumored of working on a new fifth generation iPad tablet that has taken design cues from the iPad Mini. Besides a Retina display, the new iPad is expected to be better than its predecessors in many other areas including processor, camera, and chassis. The new iPad is said to be akin to the iPad Mini in terms of physical aesthetics. Apple may also include the new Touch ID feature in the Home button in the new tablet along with the new Apple A7 SoC.

The new iPad Mini would also hopefully feature a Retina display with higher resolution than its predecessors. We hope that Apple uses a latest processor on this device than a year old chip. Obviously, both new iPad and iPad Mini tablets will come with iOS 7 running out of the box.

Interesting bit is that even Nokia has a special launch event for its devices on October 22 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
