Facebook for Android update brings Cover Feed

Facebook has pushed a new update for its official Android app to bring the Cover Feed feature to some of the top devices.

Popular social network, Facebook had added the Cover Feed feature along with Facebook Home for the HTC First smartphone. But since the phone has been cold, the Cover Feed feature is now being offered to several other Android devices. A new update pushed by Facebook brings the Cover Feed to seven top of the line Android based devices. With this update, the Cover Feed feature is long longer exclusive to the HTC First device only.

Facebook had engaged into deeper integration on the HTC First and added the Cover Feed that appears on the lockscreen to provide the status updates as a slideshow. Now the same Cover Feed feature is being added to some of the key devices - Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC One and LG Google Nexus 4.

Apart from that, Facebook for Android app update also brings the capability to save the photos on the phone from the Photo Viewer. The blank spaces showing bug in the news feed has been fixed. The status bar is now fixed on the lock screen by default but only for those who are using the Facebook Home.

The new Facebook for Android app update can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
