Acer announces Liquid Z3 for €99, goes on sale in mid-August

Acer has taken the wraps off a new Android smartphone in its Liquid-series recently. Dubbed as Acer Liquid Z3, the smartphone will go on sale in select countries including Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Russia beginning mid-August.

Acer Liquid Z3 is being targeted at the entry-level smartphone users and comes with 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.2. The smartphone also comes with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and 1500 mAh battery.

According to a press release issued by the company, Liquid Z3 will be available in both single-SIM as well as dual-SIM versions.

“While much of the industry is trending toward larger and more complex devices, we believe there’s also a whole lot of room for thinking small and simple,” said Allen Burnes, vice-president, smartphone division, Acer Europe. “Liquid Z3 bridges the gap for a new generation of smartphone users, providing they really can have it all without sacrificing the size and simplicity they want.”
