Micromax rolls out Jelly Bean 4.2 for Canvas HD

However, to get the update you have to visit a Micromax service centre.

Micromax has rolled out the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system upgrade for its Canvas HD smartphone. However, to receive the update, users have to visit a Micromax service center. The Indian handset maker though has promised to roll out future updates over the air.

The upgrade brings a faster and much more fluid user interface for the Canvas HD A116. Among new features include a semi-transparent notification panel that makes it possible to see the home screen even after you pull down the notification panel.

The missing Panorama functionality has also been brought back with the new camera update included in the software upgrade. Also Micromax has claimed to have fixed the 'GPS issue' with the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 upgrade. So after the upgrade, the phone is expected to lock at your GPS location much faster than it does now.

The information has been made available by MMXnewscater and users can enquire the local Micromax service center for the information on the update and can get it installed on their device.

Micromax had earlier issued the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for its Canvas A110 through its service centres as well.
