Micromax Canvas 4 coming in July, pre-booking to start from June 28

Canvas 4 is likely to have a octa core processor and a 13 megapixel rear camera as the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Micromax is yet again getting ready to paint a new canvas. This time round it will be Micromax Canvas 4, the would-be flagship smartphone of the company, which was showcased via a teaser video on its official YouTube channel.

Pre- Booking for the Micromax Canvas 4 will start on June 28. Though price of the Canvas 4 has not been revealed but going by the history, Micromax is expected to price it at around Rs 20,000.

As per our sources, Micromax is expected to launch Canvas 4 by second week of July and will reveal the price at that time.

The promos of the phone were also spotted on TV, as scrolls, during commercial breaks and even during live telecast of India Vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy match on last Saturday.
Not much is known about the specifications but if rumors are to be believed Micromax Canvas 4 will have an octa core processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera as the Samsung -Galaxy S4. However, it is likely to use Mediatek MTK 6599 octa core chipset with clock speed of 1.4 GHz processor speed unlike the 1.6 GHz Exynos 5 processor of Galaxy S4.

The chipset is based on same 'big LITTLE' architecture on which the Samsung Galaxy S4 is based. ARM released this architecture which basically provisions one set of low power quad core processor for normal applications like video, browsing and calling etc and another set of high speed quad core for heavy gaming and other graphics intensive tasks. This helps in better management of battery.

Also if look at the tag line that is coming in the teaser video it says that "Can life be endless?" It may be hinting towards a humongous battery.
Also, Micromax Canvas 4 is said to have 1280 × 800 pixel screen resolution (HD and not Full HD as some rumors have suggested).
