LG announces Optimus L4 II budget Android phone

LG has officially announced a new budget Android smartphone in its L-series II today. Dubbed as Optimus L4 II, the smartphone will be available initially in Russia and Ukraine. There is no word on the availability elsewhere right now. According to a report in mobile-review, the phone has been priced at RUB5490 ($172) in Russia.

Coming to the device, LG Optimus L4 II features Android 4.1, 3.8-inch HVGA IPS display, 3MP rear camera and 1GHz MediaTek processor. The phone also comes with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 1,700 mAh battery and microSD card support.

The phone also comes pre-loaded with LG AppClub, where owners will be able to download SitiGid 7 app with free maps of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

On the connectivity front, L4 II packs the usual – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and HSDPA (3G). The smartphone will be joining the company’s already available Optimus L3 II, Optimus L5 II and Optimus L7 II devices in L-series II.

According to LG, it will also be releasing a dual-SIM version of Optimus L4 II like other L-series II smartphones soon, but did not reveal the exact release date.
