Redesigned Google Play store finally rolling-out

After a long wait, Google has started rolling-out the redesigned Google Play store the Indian market today. The new Play Store version is 4.0.27 and if you haven’t installed the new Play Store using an APK, it should appear on your Android device anytime now.

The redesigned Google Play was originally released in the US around a month ago and Google has since been fixing the bugs and even rolled-out two more minor releases to get it ready for the international users.

The revamped version brings Google Now like cards design as well as bigger images to Google Play on Android devices.

“The new design focuses on bigger images that jump off the page. Similarly themed content is grouped together so you can hone in on a magazine to read or an app to try. As you move down the page, new recommendations continue to appear so there is always more to see and explore. We’ve also simplified purchasing so you can breeze through checkout and get to enjoying your movie rental or other content,” Google noted in the announcement blog post.

If you have got the new Play Store version on your Android device, do let us about your experience in the comments.
