Lava launches IRIS 405 smartphone, reveals IRIS 455 pricing


Lava has announced the launch of a new Android 4.1 smartphone in the Indian market today.  Dubbed as IRIS 405, the phone will be available in the coming days for INR 7,499. In addition, the company has also revealed the pricing of IRIS 455 smartphone, which was originally announced a month ago. Lava IRIS 455 will be sold for INR 8,699. It will also be available in the coming days.

The company also revealed that both the phones will support OTA updates, so any future software updates provided by Lava wouldn’t require a trip to a nearby service centre.

Talking about the smartphones, Lava IRIS 405 features a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor. The phone also comes with 5-megapixels rear camera, front VGA camera and 3G support.

According to a press release issued by the company, Lava has preloaded a number of apps on both the phones including Saavn, Fusion music player, Hike, Facebook and Lava Zone, which provides access to songs, videos, and wallpapers directly on to the device.
