Nokia Public transit arrives on Symbian


The new app would benefit from Nokia's mapping service and would help get users get around the town easily

Nokia, the Finnish mobile phone giant, has finally made its Public Transit application available for its Symbian devices. This new application takes advantage of Nokia's vast and accurate mapping and navigation services to help users get around the city using public transit system. Nokia Transit makes everything from finding destinations to planning your route, and even walking to the destinations easier.

Nokia Transit combines all your local public transit options such as bus and train in one application. Users can simply type an address or point of interest and can easily find destinations through this application in the shortest or the best possible route.

Users can easily choose route options from their location with Journey Planner and can add specifics to it later on. The detailed arrival and departure information through the application also lets users know exactly when you need to leave.

The application is available from the Nokia application store for download and installation on any Nokia Symbian device. You may have to download additional files later on as well.
