First Google Glass devices ready to ship, Mirror API released

It has been just over a year since the first time we heard about Google Glass officially and the company is ready to ship the first devices. Google is sending out emails to the developers who signed up for the Glass Explorer program that the production for the initial batch is complete and the company is working on more. They will soon start shipping the device to the first developers.

The news comes just days after it was reported that Google was almost ready to ship the Google Glass Explorer edition to the developers.

If you signed up for the program, you will get an email invitation for the Google Glass purchase in the coming days.

In related news, Google has launched a developer portal for the Google Glass related app development and has posted the API.  The API is dubbed as Google Mirror and the company is calling the app created using it as Glassware.

The company has also posted a set of video which explains how to use the API to create great apps for Google Glass. You can find all the videos here.
