Sony launches Xperia E for Rs 10,000, Xperia ZL for Rs 36K


Xperia ZL and Xperia E are priced at Rs 36,990 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

Sony, which has launched its Xperia Z smartphone in India for Rs 38,990, has also announced the launch of Xperia ZL and Xperia E smartphones in India. It has also announced the Xperia Z tablet. Xperia E is expected to be priced less than Rs 10,000 and will be available in the market from March 12.

The Xperia ZL, which is priced at Rs 36,990, will also be available from March 12 this year but Sony has not announced either the price or the availability of Xperia Z tablet.

The Xperia Z tablet comes with a 10.1 inch touchscreen with 1920x1200 pixels resolution. It has 1.5 GHz Qualcomm quad core processor, Android Jelly Bean operating system, 8.1 megapixel rear camera, 2.2 megapixel front camera, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and 64 GB of expandable memory slot.

The tablet has NFC, DLNA, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 HDMI (via MHL) and a 3.5 mm jack for connectivity. Like the Xperia Z smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z tablet is also water and dust resistant. There is no announcement as of now from Sony about its availability and price.

Meanwhile, Sony has also announced the Xperia ZL smartphone which comes with 5 inch scratch resistant touchscreen with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It has also Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8064 Quad Core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB flash memory, 32 GB of expandable memory, 13 megapixel Exmor RS rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, etc.

Sony Xperia E, which is termed as a no non-sense smartphone, comes with Android Jelly Bean operating system, 3.5 inch touch screen, 3.2 megapixel auto focus rear camera, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, 32 GB of expandable storage slot, DLNA etc. Sony has said that buyer of Xperia E will get a free headphone as well.
