Lava launches three budget Android phones under INR 4,000

Continuing its trend of launching new Android smartphones every week, Indian company Lava has now released three new smartphones. Part of company’s IRIS series, these phones have been dubbed as IRIS 349, IRIS 351, and IRIS 355. On the interesting note, all three phones have been priced under INR 4,000.

These phones will go on sale via online shopping websites and retail stores in the coming days.

“In our mission to empower people, we believe that everyone deserves to own a smartphone. Hence, we at Lava have worked hard to come up with entry level phones that will be easy on the customers’ wallet yet provide a superior smartphone experience,” Lava noted in a press release.

Talking about the phones, all phones are powered by obsolete Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with features like 1GHz single core processor, 2MP camera, 3.5-inch HVGA display, dual-SIM support (3G+2G), 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and microSD card slot. The phones also come with connectivity options like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Lava has also pre-loaded some apps like Cricket Fever, Lava Zone, and Ninja Rush on these smartphones. As you can notice, most of the features of these phones are exactly, and then what is the difference – design and battery.

IRIS 349, IRIS 351, and IRIS 355 come with different designs (that too isn’t really that different) and packs 1400 mAH, 1300 mAh and 1400 mAH battery respectively.

We really don’t understand the logic behind launching similar featured three smartphones.
