Google seems to be planning to release a revamped Google Play Android Client interface. This revamped interface will reportedly debut in Google Play version 4.0. There is no word right now on the exact release schedule of the new interface, but given the fact, it has already leaked in the wild, we can expect it to go live in the next few weeks.
As you can see in the images, the refreshed interface seems to be inspired by Google Now’s card based look. Google has used bigger images, which are likely to attract more attention and will surely help in selling content via Google Play.
Recommended for you section has been made much bigger and now includes images, which were absent earlier. Google has also changed PIN to password usage now to restrict purchases via Google Play, so that no one else can accidentally download paid content and make you cry after seeing the credit card bill.
We can expect similar changes in the web-based interface, but right now we don’t have any screenshots of the same.
This leaked Play Store carries the version number 4.0.16, and the latest live Play Store version is just 3.10.14, so don’t expect to see it go live right-away.
