MapmyIndia launches Lx340 in-car navigation device


It claims to cover 5.79 lakh towns and villages in India.

MapmyIndia, a digital maps provider based in India, has announced the Lx340 Navigator, a portable in-car navigation and entertainment device. It comes with a wide 4.3 inch touchscreen and has a matte black finish.

Besides, it has entertainment features for playing music, movies and photos on the go as well. Lx340 has a GPS navigation software interface that claims to cover 5.79 lakh towns and villages across the country, including door-to-door navigation to house addresses in 39 cities. It also provides visual as well as audio alerts for land guidance, over-speeding and road signs.

The Lx340 satellite GPS navigator is priced at Rs 8,990 (one-time cost only) with no recurring usage charges and no dependence on internet or mobile networks for navigation. The 124 gram-heavy device has a 950 mAh battery and 2 GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 8 GB.
