The smartphone has not been officially announced till now, but it is available online from a variety of retailers including Flipkart, Infibeam and Saholic. Similar to N320, IRIS 351 also packs 1GHz processor; however it has a bigger 3.5-inch display with 480x320p resolution. The smartphone also comes with Android 2.3, 256MB RAM, 2G (no 3G), 2MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity and 1300 mAh battery. Other features include 512MB of internal storage (110MB usable), microSD card support and FM Radio. The phone is being targeted to consumers, who want a smartphone with decently-sized display, but don’t want to spend too much money. Looking at the specs and pricing, Lava IRIS 351 seems like a nice smartphone on-paper. However, lack of 3G is certainly a dampener but most of Android phones in this budget don’t have 3G connectivity. Lava is also offering a 4GB data card free in the box. The smartphone will be competing with Karbonn A1+, which is currently sold at almost the same price and offers better specifications.
