lava-iris-351 After IRIS N320, Lava has now released another Android smartphone under INR 4K in the Indian market. Dubbed as IRIS 351, it has been priced at INR 3,899. The smartphone has not been officially announced till now, but it is available online from a variety of retailers including Flipkart, Infibeam and Saholic. Similar to N320, IRIS 351 also packs 1GHz processor; however it has a bigger 3.5-inch display with 480x320p resolution. The smartphone also comes with Android 2.3, 256MB RAM, 2G (no 3G), 2MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity and 1300 mAh battery. Other features include 512MB of internal storage (110MB usable), microSD card support and FM Radio. The phone is being targeted to consumers, who want a smartphone with decently-sized display, but don’t want to spend too much money. Looking at the specs and pricing, Lava IRIS 351 seems like a nice smartphone on-paper. However, lack of 3G is certainly a dampener but most of Android phones in this budget don’t have 3G connectivity. Lava is also offering a 4GB data card free in the box. The smartphone will be competing with Karbonn A1+, which is currently sold at almost the same price and offers better specifications.
