Iocean to launch quad core phone for Rs 9,000 in India

The Chinese handset manufacturer will launch its products in India on March 10th through a Chennai distributor.

Shenzhen iocean Mobiles, a china based original equipment manufacturer, will launch its own Android phone range in India in March.

"We are launching dual core and quad core handsets in New Delhi market through our Chennai based National distributor for Android devices. We will launch product on 10th March in India.

The company will launch two dual core processor powered phones with 5.3 inch and 5.7 inch display, priced at Rs 7,000 and Rs 8,500, and a quad core device which will be priced at around Rs 9,000.

There are already few Chinese companies like Mogu, Jiayu and UMI still in queue waiting to launch their handsets in India. Zopo Mobile has already launched its products in the country.

GFive is the only Chinese company which is already a well-established player in India. And while Chinese players have been manufacturing phones for Indian handset companies, they have so far not been present directly.

But that seems to be changing with so many Chinese players announcing their India plans in the past one month.
