Yahoo! Mail app updated for iOS, Android


The update app claims to have reliable push notifications, revamped user interface and consumes less battery power as well.

Yahoo has released an update for its Yahoo! Mail app for the Apple iOS and Google Android platforms. The new Yahoo! Mail app update changes the app name to Y! Mail and gives it a slightly different look. With slew of new features the update is already live in the respective App stores.

Yahoo! Mail app is a stand-alone application available for the iOS and Android devices. The new Y! Mail app brings spruced up user interface and requires the user to perform a pull gesture to refresh the pane.

Besides the new user interface and name, the app also promises to improve battery performance. It claims to be more secure for the SSL security is set as 'On' by default. Access the folder list by slide-out gesture and action bars for selection. The new Y! Mail app brings stability and several fixes.
