In an official statement, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd has today announced the launch of the Samsung Champ Neo (GT-C3262). The company has positioned it as an entry-level touch phone.
Samsung claims that the Champ Neo has been organically designed and is feature-rich, while delivering additional benefits of Dual-SIM. While the Smart Social Communication features will keep the users socially connected on the go, the Smart Dual SIM feature allows users to receive a call from second SIM even if they are already calling on one SIM. There is also a feature ‘True Hot Swap’ that allows free usage of the Hot Swap SIM slot, irrespective of whether there is a SIM in the other slot or not.
“With the launch of the Champ Neo, we are seeking to satisfy the needs of young customers who are looking for a quality touch device, sharing more and staying connected with their friends while on the go”, states Asim Warsi, VP - Samsung Mobile.
Samsung Champ Neo complements Samsung’s existing touch screen mobile portfolio comprising Samsung Star 3 Duos and Samsung Champ Deluxe Duos.
The Samsung Champ Neo sports a 6.1cm (2.4-inch) QVGA TFT touch display, along with TouchWiz-Lite 2.0 user interface. The Champ Neo comes pre-loaded with native social apps for sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The device also supports Multi-IMs such as Yahoo, MSN, Gtalk along with ChatON, Samsung’s proprietary cross-platform communication. ChatOn connects users in a single, easy chatting service as it supports multiple platforms including Android, iPhone OS, Bada OS, Blackberry OS, etc. It also supports group chats and multimedia transfers over chat. Additionally, the Champ Neo has Push Mail support through the preloaded ActiveSync application, which also supports advanced connectivity such as syncing of online contacts and calendar.
The Champ Neo supports nine regional language keypads and offers a host of other features such as Bluetooth 3.0 and Opera Mini Browser. It also comes with a download offer from the Samsung Apps store that makes available free Games, Music and Apps exclusively for Champ Neo users. The Champ Neo is fuelled by a 1000mAh battery, supporting up to 14 hours of talktime, MP3 player and a 3.5mm earphone jack enabling users to have an entertaining multi-media experience.
With the launch of Champ Neo, Samsung offers a complete range of devices, with a different set of features and capabilities to suit the diverse needs of consumers. Samsung Champ Neo is priced at an MRP of Rs 3,670, and is available across all Samsung Smartphone Cafes, Digital Plazas and across all other leading mobile retail outlets.
